Unclear on 32bit vs. 64 bit installation?

I downloaded X1 Producer and installed it on my machine yesterday morning. I am feeling my way around and am excited about the changes so far. I am running Windows 7 32Bit.

This may be a silly question, but at no point during download or installation did I encounter the option for 32 or 64 bit installation. Is it the case that the installer recognizes my 32bit OS and defaults to a 32 bit installation?

I am planning a new build and will go 64 bit at that time, I am still under-informed on a lot of the discrepancies.

Just curious where the option presents itself for 32 or 64 bit installation.

From a long time user, thanks for the very reasonably priced upgrade. The new interface is an inspiring and welcome update.

    Hi,
You will only get the option for a 64bit install when running a 64bit OS. Otherwise it defaults to the 32bit install.
    Have fun!

My installer said something like, "this installer not compatible with your operating system. Contact developer and find out whether you need X64 or X32...needless to say after downloading this twice taking me almost all day, I was pretty deflated. And the .RAR file on Installer2 gave me the message, "couldn't finish unpacking...file corrupt/missing file. Try downloading again".

    Weak.
