I don't think NI has downloads for all older programs. And DVDs don't take up much room, so I'd be inclined to hang onto them.

You need to for sure keep the first "full" product you bought. If you sold it you couldn't be able to buy an new upgrade instead of a full. I would keep them too. Throw the box out keep the disks in a different room or the garage or somewhere not your studio. Even a different room.
It's Bass, not Bass. i7 2700K, 16GB DDR3, 2 SSD sample drives and OS drive, HDD SATAIII for projects, 2 24" monitors Focusrite Saffire Pro 24, Focusrite VRM Box, LAVA Lamp, SONAR Platinum 64 bit, Mackie MCU and 1 MCU XT, Akai Advance 49, Windows 10, Komplete 9 Ultimate, Cakewalk, Toontrack, IK, AAS, XLN, UVI, Air Music Tech, Waves Factory, Sample Tek and Sonivox VSTi's. You can't resell the original license, but I don't recall Native Access asking me for the original disks when I did a clean install 2 years ago.

Original Pranksta Hi, I am trying to clean out the studio and I am wondering why I have 5 boxes of Komplete stuff. I have boxes for Komplete 5, and then 6, 7, 8, and 9 updates. It seems like I can throw away most of the materials, but I do want to keep things like B4, and older Guitar Rigs available for the next time I need to build a DAW. I am wondering if everything will need to be downloaded rather than loaded off of DVD discs by that time. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thank you.
Refer to the Native Instruments Komplete Version Comparison It shows what items are included in what versions and when what got dropped. So for example Absynth 4 came with K5 but was replace by Absynth 5 in K6; or that B4 II only came with versions K3 through K5.

Is there really a point in nuking the content of your posts? I don't think that anyone here is going to hold it against you that you "have 5 boxes of Komplete stuff". Maybe you're worried that someone else might learn something from the answers to your questions?

IMHO , it's one thing to go back and edit a post or a number of them for clarity or maybe even for the desire of not getting a thread side breathalyzer test from the forum posting police ...I get that Going back just to delete posts , or trying to be funny while being smug by replacing coherent posts with this ∞ symbol is pretty much a douche bag maneuver in my book ... OP who ever you may happen too be . I hope when you decide to take a good look at your self in the mirror , you smell as fresh and wonderful as all the chemicals they put in your favorite over the counter feminine product Kenny

I don't know what this guy is all about, but I just clicked on his profile / recent posts, and there are literally dozens and dozens of posts, going back months, all with the infinity sign. Who does that? Does he think that once he gets an answer he's supposed to delete his post? Or is he just doing it to be obnoxious?
Anyway, I suppose just by replying in this thread is giving him more attention (feeding the troll), so I apologize for that, and I won't do it again. I was just hoping maybe a moderator could have a word with this guy. I mean, pages and pages of deleted posts, which has been going on for so long. I'm surprised he's still allowed to get away with that.

“Mr. Snake approaches Mr. Turtle on a river bank and asks Mr. Turtle for a ride across the water since he can't swim the river himself. Mr. Turtle politely refuses to oblige, reasoning that if he were to give Mr. Snake a ride across the river, he would surely be bitten. Mr. Snake protests saying that it would be foolish for him to bite the one carrying him, since it would result in him perishing also. Mr. Turtle considers the argument, then agrees to ferry Mr. Snake over the broad river. When they are half way across the river Mr. Turtle feels a sharp pain and realizes he has been bitten by Mr. Snake. As the venom is beginning to take effect, Mr. Turtle sadly and resolutely asks Mr. Snake why he bit him, since the biting will also result in Mr. Snake's demise. A wry smile came upon Mr. Snake's face. ‘I bit you because I am a snake, Mr. Turtle; that is my nature.’
