Number 2 is a favourite of mine (Russel Peters).......an extremely very funny guy........I like comedians that base their humour on real life situations.......he just does an exceptional job of it.

I just used list of top 10 from some website.........to be honest, I too don't care much for the slapstick humour of Steve Martin or Bill Cosby.

My personal list would've been only about 5-6 of those up there.

Sorry mate....I'll need to be more selective next time.

Heh, I don't recognize a single name on James' list or on Steve's last list...
(Although I might recognize them if I saw 'em.)

    In no particular order.

Bill Burr (his current special on Netflix is a riot)
Louie CK (saw him live last year. he's at the top of the game right now)
Jim Jeffries (Australian that I saw in a small club in NYC last year)
    Richard Pryor
    George Carlin
    Ron White
Patrice Oneal (died last year, but he was going to be huge)
    Eddie Murphy
Joan Rivers (not the tv stuff. her live stuff was very blue and hilarious)
    Jerry Seinfeld
