1001 Times

I can imagine that the Z3ta patch "Fist Contact" has been used at least 1000 times.
I would like to submit 1001 Times for your comments.

Regardless of how many times that patch has been used, it still sounds way cool.  Good mix and production.  It did remind me of "Eminence Front" by Pete Townsend, at least the chord progression did.  Nice job.

    All the best,

Well I liked it, it's not what I expected though. I was expecting you to showcase your mad skills on that PRS? This track needs a lead voc, and some tasty riffs from that Kramer laid over top? (IMO)

I like the way the synth works with the guitar and that progression is very catchy for sure. I thought the ending sounded a bit like not much effort had been put in to be honest, kind of .........oh well, that's enough I'll just fade it out now......but other than that I thought the production sounded good.

Lynn  Thanks for giving a listen a posting a comment.

Robby  I guess I let you down. Sorry! No vocals this time or promises of vocals later. This was something I was doing to pass time during the holidays. I used my Guild S65D to record this along with Pod Farm.

Paul Thanks for listening and your comments. As far as the ending, I really had no place in mind to go with it and wanted to keep it around 3 minutes. So I guess that could be the not much effort part you speak of.

Guitarpima Yes it was fun and I was more into the sound I was getting than the song structure so I guess I need to work on that as well. I do thank you for taking the time to listen though.

James1213 Thanks for your comment on the meaty guitar tone. The Guild S65D that I used for this has a nice DiMarzio in it and a used a Soldono amp from Pod Farm to get the tone.

markno999 I agree I could have put more lead work in on this but I decided to keep it minimal and keep the song short. Because I have struggled so much with getting the drums and bass to work well with each other, I did get more concerned with that other than composition.

No, your stuff is traditionally very good. It never lets me down! I play guitar? But not as good as you... Which is why when I hear one of your tunes? Well? I want to bow down and worship at the alter of superior talent... There are many "truly great" musicians here? I mean, "top notch..." I enjoy your guitar. There are other excellent guitar players? They are actually probably the most common "very talented musicians" here? Because a lot of people play the guitar. There are some really good bass players? I really like the way Frank Tanton plays the damn bass... He can play guitar, and sing well too? But "he" can play that damn bass... And I say that as a bass player? There are drummers? But they are more rare... I do enjoy your guitar playing though! You're one of the good ones :-)

I kept waiting for the big guitar solo and when it came, it seemed weak.  This is great backing track for some heavy screaming guitar.  Then it sort of faded.  The patch sounds cool but I would crank the guitar up.

I always stay very humble when it comes to my playing, but thank you.

Daryl I really was trying to keep this offering minimal. I guess I went too minimal. LOL
I just did not want to go off just because. I will try in the future to be more tuned into the fact
    not to go too minimal.

Definitely sounds like a fun way to spend Christmas break!  :)

If you're looking for comments, I kept straining to hear that piano? riff on the right and wishing it would be just a tad higher in the mix.  But perhaps you wouldn't want it higher all the time.  Anyway, cool tune and lots of fun stuff to keep one's attention.  :)

That synth patch does sound familiar

Still sounds great in this tune, though.

A Guild S65 D? Had to go look that one up...very cool looking guitar. Sounds great on this track, too!

    Cool tune and mix/production.

Thank you for your comment in regards to the drums, because I really do strugle with getting the drums and bass to work together. I feel I am getting closer, but the fact yyou thought the drums sounded tight, I feel like I am making progress. Thanks again for taking the time to listen.

I'll have to use this patch in an upcoming song so we can bump that number to 1002.  Make it a nice tasty even number
