-11

It was -11 degrees this morning.  -25 with the wind chill.

I remember the good old days when it was 2 degrees.  I remember it like it was only yesterday...

I was wondering how long it would take before there was an obscure Spinal Tap reference.

My thermometer goes down to -11, as well.

I'm assuming you mean 35C, right?  yuk!  that's 95F!  every day?

I'm sure bubba and bapu are talking in F, not C (not to be confused with Am at all!)

We get either -11F or 95F.

With at least a 75-85% humidity rating either way...oh, but is a 'dry' cold...yeah right

Try Winnipeg! -40C in the Winter and +40C in the summer.
The only times it is ever bearable the mosquitos carry off your young!

Today is a balmy -36C with the wind factor.

EDIT: trimph1: I was in London in early Dec last year when the first major snow hit. We don't see lake-effect snow like that - WOW!

At least if it's 35 C every day (or anything else I suppose), you know how to dress every day!  :-)

What's fun is trying to keep cool in a place like that. I mean, with no air conditioning. And the fans blow hot air on you.  Well, at least it's moving air....

BUT...this morning, most of the trees by the lake were covered with frozen ice crystals. Someone said it's because the frost froze. Whatever...it was absolutely beautiful...like they were covered in frosting...the whole branches--all the way around.  I was wishing my guys and their expensive cameras would have been around to take pictures.

It was nice to think about the trees instead of wondering if I'd make it to my classroom before my fingers got frostbite.. (0 degrees here this morning.)  :(

I'm sure that our little cold snap must seem like sun-tanning weather to Winnipegians.  I commend your dedication and determination to condition yourselves to survive the heat death of the universe.  I, on the other hand, am turning the heat up.

-11F is still a little cold for sun tanning. But once it hits the freezing point (32F 0C) it's time to get the golf clubs out! Well - not quite :)

As the saying goes up here, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes, it'll change."

We were -21 (F) last night with the wind chill somewhere near -40 F.  It's around zero today, and a warm wave starts tomorrow - and we'll be in the mid 30s above this weekend.

    Land of infinite variety...

Well +2C in Oslo today and so much heavy snow it's ridiculous. If you need snow, come have some of ours. We certainly don't need it!

    Oh summer, where are thou....

When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Punxsutawney and basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, I couldn't imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous winter.

I don't care if it's summer or winter really.... as long as it's sunny, warm and the view is pleasant!

I miss living in a warm and sunny country.

    Time to migrate maybe...

Those of you who lives in a warm climate. Enjoy it while you can because as soon as Magneto flips the world around it might be our turn to have the warm and beatuiful weather all year round!

Or we all die. Who knows. These super villains have such crazy ideas
