Agreed that the guitar FX are distracting, but otherwise, sounded pretty good. She has a fine voice, well done to you both. Regards, Dan

Hey Mike. Thanks for listening and for the kind words! And, for reminding me that, yeah it was the Bacharach songs that the Carpenters did so well with. I can't remember anything anymore...Anyway, Thanks! Jim

Hi James. Welcome to the forums! Let me say this up front. Your opinion is one that counts and use all the info given to weight and decide for yourself what works and sounds good to you. Everyone will have something they like and don't like so use your instincts and go with them. Wonderful song! Check out the EQ in pro channel and experiment with it on the voice and guitar. btw, I think your guitar playing is just fine. There are presets to get you started for voice and acoustic guitar. Thanks for sharing you song.

I'm gonna put in my 2 pence worth and simply say cut the effects back on the guitar, bit too over done I feel. Vox reminded me of Karen Carpenter, really warm and soulful. twas a joy to listen to. :)

Hello Jim: That was a lovely song, and your sister has a very nice voice with a wonderfully honest feel to it. The arrangement fits the song well, and does a good job of showcasing the vocal. You seem to have some insecurity about your guitar playing, but I thought it sounded fine. Keep posting here, both of you have plenty of talent, and these guys are very helpful and supportive. Best of luck with your music!!

Nice song, nice playing, and wow, what a voice your sister has - she certainly does have a Karen Carpenter vibe. I definitely agree with Wookie and some of the others regarding the stereo phaser and panning on the guitar - it's too much and really detracts from the guitar and vocal performances. Regardless, still a very nice track....going back for another listen!

+1 to everything above - simply done, to the point, and the vocals feel "right". But yeah... The auto-panning on the guitar is what I really found most distracting. I don't think a little chorus would be bad, but with the guitar at relatively static positions L+R and the vocal towards the center. It's a fairly traditional layout but the song is straightforward, so why not?

Hey cryophonic. Thanks for giving it a listen! I realize everyone's sure right about the guitar fx. But, since I've been so encouraged regarding the song itself, I think I'm just gonna try a re-do of it all. Again, Thanks! Jim

Hey stevec. Thanks for listening. Why not indeed! The point is the song and the voice singing it. I understand what you're saying. We'll keep that in mind in the re-do. Thanks Steve! Jim

The panning effect on the guitar is a bit challenging but still a sweet song.
