2 ending Cue's (Thanks Scotty)

I had a recent project to score a 5 minute documentary film for a film scoring class.  The last 2 cues I was free to expand the music as there was no narration to contend with.

My Hollywood Strings chops need some practice as I could not get the ending violin lines to sound as real as they needed to sound.  So our very own Scottytunes came to my rescue and layed down some sweet (and very real sounding) violins.  Thanks again Scotty.

Crits and thoughts of improvements always welcome

Sounds good to my ears Mike! I see you've purchased the 'Scotty plugin' as well.....

I would'nt consider this a nit, but, maybe add something like a deep sounding cello on the first clip to give it some bottom end?

    I think it's beautiful...and I'd give you an A too.  :)  Scott sure adds realism, doesn't he?  :)

Yeah, I hear ya, Herb. I only got to hear the part that I added fiddles to. Had I heard more of the song I would have played in a more classical style.

Herb - Thanks for the listen, all my stuff generally sounds better at low volume...real low :)

lhansen- Thanks for the listen and advise.  There is a celli playing some lower stuff in there, somewhere.  Maybe not a doublebass in this section though..Also I tend to overdo the HP filter as of recently, for some reason I picked up a lowendaphobia in my mixes.  I will work on this.

Phil - Thanks for the listen and the "A".  Usually I would have to pay off someone for that kind of grade lol

Janet - Thanks for the listen and another "A".  I will go broke paying people off at this rate.  Yes, Scott added awesome realism.  Sometimes it can take all day to edit a midi violin passage to get the performance you want, whereas if you get an awesome violinist it takes them 5 seconds to play the lines...it sounds great and you can spend the rest of the day editing the other midi instruments instead.

Scott - The "country" part is actually where the end credits kick in.  It is supposed to contrast to the big orchestral sound of the last cue.  It worked out perfect.  I even broke out a midi banjo with some lame banjo licks!  Hopefully it's mixed low enough where it just adds effect.  The harmonies you added worked out great to.

    Hi Mike,

Sounds great, man. You just can't go wrong with Scotty on board, either.

    Beautiful.

This would be great in a film where there was some country music song(s) in the soundtrack and have this ending bring it all home.
