Hi thomasbarnes I am also keen for the update.
Hope you dont mind me asking a question but I noticed you are running a Delta 1010.
I am running 2 x Delta 1010's / a pair of KRK V8's output from 1 card and from the other a bluesky 5.1 setup.
This works fine with 8.5.3 but with the update to X1A it cant see the second card
help by any of you long timers would be great

    Hi Rob.Art:

Don't know if you noticed but I have the Delta 1010LT. The LT means it's the light version of the Delta 1010.

There is an issue with the Delta cards and X1a where the ASIO driver is not being recognized for some users, as mentioned in the X1a hotfix.

Just to be clear, let's make sure you have the ground covered for applying the X1a HotFix?

You did install SONAR X1a update, right? It needs to be installed before the X1a HotFix is applied. Some other users were having a problem applying the X1a HotFix. One of the reasons why they got the same error you mention, (TTslame .dll not found,) is because they were not fully unzipping the HotFix. One user came back and reported that he was getting that error because he had not fully unzipped the X1a HotFix. So make sure you fully unzip it. Also make sure you have the correct HotFix for the correct version of SONAR X1. There are 32bit and 64bit version of each of the three versions of SONAR X1.

What may be more helpful to know is that the two users I read reporting this problem of not being able to apply the HotFix, both were successful in applying it after they contacted Cakewalk Tech Support.

I have not had to apply the patch because I have not had a problem of SONAR X1a not recognizing the ASIO driver using the Delta 1010LT driver version I'm using for my Delta 1010LT.

Also, only one ASIO driver can be used at a time in SONAR, so are you saying you are using another driver mode, WDM, for instance? And X1a is not detecting the 2nd card?

I hope you find something in this post to be helpful.

    Goodluck.

That's a good find, StarTekh. Well, it's good info to have for the OP, though it may mean he may not be able to sync two cards using the newer drivers.

He may be able to use the same driver he is uisng in 8.5.3, as he says he can use both cards in SONAR 8.5.3.

As I'm so fond of saying... F M-Audio!

They suck as bad as their drivers do.

I sold my 1010 and bought the RME PCI-e Multiface II.

Yeah it's expensive, but worth every penny.

Rock solid drivers, awesome sound, great routing flexibility with their software mixer, and they update their drivers often. Unlike some companies who sell you one product but won't release 64-bit drivers for it, but then release another exact same product, with a new name, WITH 64-bit drivers so you have to buy another one from them! (See the Midisport 4x4 for more info on that)Well, you know what I did, I said F M-Audio, and bought me an RME.

And boy am I glad I did!

    Thanks again to all
Hot fix still dose not work / unpacked ok but no good for install same .dll problem.
I was able to reconfigure F M Audio to work but I will wait for X1B before it dose my head in I dont like to complane when I have had lots of love from cake.
Even though I have most of the other DAW software I still hold true to a good product.
8.5.3 will do for now I will setup to run in 64bit insted

    Good day guys and gals,
Just wanted to interject that I also have had the problems with m-audio. Having 2 1010lt cards I was only able to use one in my newest comp. I kept having problems with no response from m-audio.  But now, I have the Dell XSP 9100 with an i7 930 processor and I am not sure what the big difference is, but, now I have loaded my 1010lt and the newest drivers from m-audio and everything is working great. Maybe the only comp they wrote the drivers on was an i7 win 7 and that is what they work best on. Haven't got an answer on that but while it works great, it's hard to complain. Now I have an older system with one 1010lt card in it I might get rid of. I have been able to sync via midi the two machines so I may keep it around to add another 8 tracks. The only problem I have now is with X1. Like the program format and the abilities and I am sure that CW will ,in time, fix all the non working items. Been around CW for a long time, left for digidesign for a while, but, finally came back with sonar 8. Have always liked (Roland) products because thy listen to the musician in all of us.
Sorry if this doesn't really help anyone; just letting you know my experiences.
