It would be nice, really nice, if they sent out emails to alert me about things like this... but I have finally accepted that it is NOT going to happen.

    Thanks for telling me!

Maybe so, Mooch. Or maybe not.
I'm naturally cynical, but I also appreciate a gift.
The good folks at Cakewalk didn't have to do this. But they did.
At a a time when I have to make every nickel count, this was a welcome ray of sunshine.
Perhaps some will use it as a discount toward a more expensive product. Some, like myself, will get something they have wanted at no cost. Some will waste it, either by choice, or not being aware of it.
Thankfully, I saw this thread, and was able to put the gift to good use.

I was delighted to use the $20 to buy Karls video. It made up for the lack holiday deals at the Cake store, at least for me.

Great video Karl, I'm trying to find something other than iTunes to play it but it's still a treat.

I see that Cake put the price of the SWA video back to $39.95. Woot! Got it just in time.

I still haven't decided on what to get......(I was also considering getting the SWA video (if it was $19.95), but I suppose I should get X2 first...)

I was thinking of getting one of the Cakewalk Sound Center Expansion packs, but to be honest, I've never used anything from Sound Center in a song. I particularly liked the Vintage Keyboards I heard on the DSF site.

    Any suggestions are most welcomed.

Thanks for the support everyone, I was tempted to buy the video myself but went with one of the session drummer kits as there's really not much more I want. I can't use all I've a;ready got but a freebie is a freebie.

I went with two of the Xenos packs for z3ta+, Dark n Dirty and Deadly Dubtronica. They were regularly priced at $20 each, on sale for $10. Some good patches, some I'll never use.

Bill, any luck with Rock Legends?

Usually, Cake's installers automatically put them in the correct places....so, I'm not sure what's happening there.

I installed DSF's Vintage Keyboards and it did without any problem......hoewever, after inserting Cakewalk Sound Center's synth, I don't see it???

I'll spend some time looking at the install locations and see what actually happened...
