In the world of motorcycling we have a phrase for people that do really stupid things (like ride and walk down a live runway) - "Natural selection will get 'em sooner or later" and it usually does.

It would be interesting to know what was happening there. Were those folks, the biker and the cameraman/woman, just spending time on a runway???

It crossed my mind that it might be a coordinated stunt. I think if I'd have been the camera person I'd have been diving to the ground rather than carry on filming and then even manage to turn around and film the plane as it carried on. Who knows though, I'm also not crazy enough to walk down a runway so perhaps my self-preservation awareness is a little higher.

.... unless that was some kind of pre arranged stunt... that guy should be arrested and charged.... such things as playing on a runway is illegal as well as extremely dangerous. for all involved.

I hope it was staged. If not, that sort of thing would probably traumatise a pilot. It's like people who choose to die on railway tracks- giving no thought to the train driver.

Due to the speed of the plane...and the smoke trail at the very beginning....looks like it was a repeat.... hey we didn't get close enough last time.... lets have another go at it.... it kinda looks like the plane had enough speed to easily have pulled up and flown over the idiot.... which makes me think it was planned and staged and the camera idiot almost got decapitated. A plane like that will fly easily at 60 MPH..... and as fast as that was.... I'm guessing 125 or better.... it would have been easier to pull back on the stick and fly over the fool. Stunt pilots are pretty good airmen.... but still..... dang. Maneuvers that close to the ground.... turning in flight, are dangerous to begin with, and the slower you go the more dangerous it is..... that was crazy. But at least it was fast... not much pain that way.... blink and it's over.

I don't think that little Biplane can do 100 MPH in a climb. Having the smoke on for takeoff kind of gives it away as a stunt. Glen

I think that's the same airfield where that fat girl backed into a running propeller. Disaster!
