Janet If I may interrupt here for a second. Steve...good question. I think I'd have to simply say 'the end of the world as we know it.' (meaning, the earth and the heavens around us.) From what I hear, there will be a new heaven and earth--renewed, if you will...returned to its former glory. yeah - umm I 've "heard" something like that before too - I also "heard" a carpenter from back in the day didn't have the date for the "end of the world ..and it's better we don't know - but be assured - - what Janet says I am not here to argue politics or religion and one of the cool things in America is we get to do that if we want - for now anyway so rest assured I am not gonna argue with you if egged on in anyway - your belief is your belief thats all good - in whatever it is I say that cuz I read a lot of people on here walking on egg shells not to violate the TOS - but I gotta say - - I am way more afraid of God than I am a TOS from cakewalk or Willy Jones - or Brandon or Seth - (as much as I love those guys) which would lead me to say I am a Christian - Jesus is Lord and my savior - when regarding the end of times I refer to the bible and I don't worry about it - Because the bible told me not to worry about it - and ain't much I could do to stop it (my cliff notes anyway) If you believe different thats fine by me just saying

After watching the movie; 2012, I've been exercising more, I need to get fit, I need to be able to run really fast, to out-run.... . several 9.5 earthquakes, . run super fast, dive into a camper van and drive faster than an erupting super-volcano, . then survive several tsunamis and an ice-age! According to the movie,,, it can be done!! -

I always have background level amounts of a sense of impending doom which peaks from time to time. I even asked my Doctor once what it was. He confirmed that it was in fact impending doom. It was re-assuring to know that I wasn't just imagining it, that would have been terrible.

I have impending things about me that peak from time to time as well but......I am afraid to ask my doctor about anything wrong with me or ask him the terminology for it........ I just think it's the best way to deal with it ...makes the world safer some how

Russell, Janet, Herb, Paul Thanks to you all for your frank and candid replies. I asked my question out of genuine interest and carefully worded it so as not to provoke a religious argument - I appreciate that you understood that and were kind enough to share your beliefs with me. Steve

I think if more people believed that we each only have a lifetime to learn to, and get to, enjoy each others company that the world would be a lot better place. Planning on the plan has led to far too much sadness, destruction, and evil doing... I'm not impressed with the track record and feel that "your-favorite-number-here"theism is a brutal hold over from the days when we didn't have the technology to feed and clothe everyone. Now a days that is possible... and we no longer have to go wage war on our neighbors to get what we need to survive or even thrive. If and when everyone gets on board with that we can move on... but for now, it seems to me, we are still living during the superstitious days of the middle ages... and that is not satisfying to me. I expect more from myself and my neighbors. very best regards, mike edit spelling

I expect more from myself and my neighbors. very best regards, mike edit spelling +1 We do have the technology and means to feed, cloth, and shelter everyone!! :) +1 We no longer have to wage war on our neighbors - - I believe that we dont have to -- never had to - War has always been about greed and money - - usually painted as "freedom" - The USA hasnt fought for freedom since..... probably the civil war ... but we like to paint it that we're doing this for freedom -- nope - war is a racket -- a business racket - so how do we fix it I don't think we can lance said - " I just try to think and live the way I want it to be. Thst not planning t, thats doing!" .... ok - shorten that ... "THE WAY I WANT IT TO BE" Lance has a point .. but ... the way YOU WANT IT TO BE is probably different that the way that a lot of powerful people whom have money - want it to be -- and even people who arnt powerful or hold any cards want it to be we all have our own view of what we want - and you wont get what you want always cause we have to deal with the greedy elite this is a little off topic -- have you been to one of them fancy country clubs - that cost like 120k a year to be in ? Lots of you guys have i bet..... cause your musicians and I bet you have rubbed elbows with those millionaires and....well my experience with them is that those "elite" people - with money connections and power - really think they are the **** and everyone else is NOTHING - its actually so absurd to me how "GREAT" they think they are compared to me the pee - on - servant - I have to laugh - I learned from rubbing elbows with those country club types that they are so ignorant and out of reality that its NO WONDER corporations treat their employees like dirt with no compassion and why the banks and countries globally are in a mess I am just saying - just cuz you have money doesn't mean you are smart - and it often means your an arrogant ass .... not everyone though .... mind you - I played at a multi millionaire mansion once (the house was UNREAL-- whatever you can imagine in your mind as a great mansion to live in -- this is better than that ) anyway - "this guys company paved most of the roads in Illinois and I think he actually pooped 1000 bills - " -- and he was a construction dude (I wont give the name) - and he was the most down to earth regular Joe I ever met in terms of people in the millionaire club - ehh -- maybe I strayed the topic - I am just saying It wont change because of greed and pride - Live your life the best you can - do the right thing - be good - be spiritual - be happy - and Love - WHAT!?

I think a good start might be to teach our children world history and to encourage them to think twice before going off to die or be physically or mentally mutilated for the profit of the folks you just described. Then I'd encourage them to learn about contemporary bankng. ;-) all the best, mike

Mike, Mooch, well said :) I doubt anything massive will occur on Dec,21,2012 that will cause extinction of all life, on the contary I believe we'll instead be embracing new scientific discoveries and celebrating prosperity. For a long time I have believed IMHO that we all stand at the T-section of the crossroads, we can either turn left (civ type = 0) or right (civ type = 1) .... futher explanation.... ... according to a US leading scientist, we can no longer rely on resources such as fossil fuels and that our civilization remains at type = 0, the next step in our path of advancement and prosperity is to move to type = 1 which is the mastering of clean, sustainable energy and... .... with further space exploration will eventually lead to type = 2; harnessing the power of a star as an energy source along with the capability of more advanced space travel, early stages (capability) of controlling gravity and warping space time, along with colonizing on other Earth-like planets. Anyway, I believe we will make the transition to Type = 1 within the next several years. Grab your popcorn, sit back and watch more on info' about type 1, 2 and 3 civilizations: > Click Here For more, Google; "Type 1, 2, 3 Civilizations" :) - PS: I apologize for my first post #33 which is sarcastic humor based on the movie 2012. -

I have a new theory about Dec. 21, 2012. It's the day the Mayans predicted that the world will instantly forget the Mayans ever existed.
