2016.08 error and program closing

Anyone experiencing issues with version 2016.08 template save error out and program closing? I also experienced this the other day when trying to save a session. I reverted back 2016.07 and don't have this problem.  Running window 8.1 64 bit, i5 3.10Ghz, 16 gig ram.

    what exactly was the error ? do you remember what it said ?
