2018.08... !Thanks Bandlab team!

I'm on CBB 2018.08 build 32 and I have to say that it is working like a dream... In first CBB versions I was having crashes, audio dropouts and problems with lenses and plugins but now I am having extreme stability. Some problems with Waves plugins remain (Waves Grand Rhapsody still extrangely dissapearing) and I still don't like the "motivational" messages on the toast notifications but this is the best free DAW currently available and I'm really happy to have it installed in all of the classroom PC's as a music teacher.
Thanks Meng, Noel and the rest of the Bandlab team. I also think that is really important for educators to have the best tools available for free and now I'm looking forward the new forum and the new Cakewalk website to see what is coming in the future and to allow new people to have a voice in this community.

Glad to hear that you have been having a good experience with CbB. We've been prioritizing stability and fixes ever since we started CbB so its good to hear that you are seeing the benefits. Some big things coming up as well besides this theme so stay tuned!

I like them.  Funny one-liner. For not to take everything too seriously. And yes, CbB works great

I like the way it informs me of what is happening when opening a project.
When/if a plugin takes a long time to load, I aim to replace it.
Thanks! Keep up the good work.

This feature and being able to deactivate the "stock" messages while keeping the toast notifications would be great.

Has been super stable for me for months now. But last night out of no where I got the dreaded fault reporter pop up.
Funny thing is the project had loaded and the notification said all was successful.
I closed the fault reporter and the project stayed open and looked fine, hmm,
It was unresponsive and after about 30 seconds closed.
No big deal but the mystery is why this randomly happed.
I work on dozens of projects every night and all are exactly the same format I use for my backing tracks. I'm just updating some settings and swapping some instruments. The projects are pure midi and very few plug ins. Anyhow I hope it was just a random glitch. After it happened I worked for a few more hours without an issue. But I did start saving at closer intervals as I worked.

I will just say that overall this is the best version and I love everything about it. The last update seemed to make projects more colourful now.

Well a13xhp it's nice to see you're pleased with this version, especially after that recent post where you were not having very good luck with CbB. Your strong endorsement of 2018.08 has inspired me to update from 2018.07 earlier than I normally would have.

All of the CbB versions have been more stable for me than any Splat versions, yet occasionally I do have some crashes, so I hope that's even less frequent with 2018.08

Not teasing, just don't like vaporware. A really big feature is coming but we need to polish it up as much as we can.
I'll say this however - based on the amount of pain I've had over the last 3 months its one of the biggest investments in a single feature we've done in over 3 years :)

My first thought was to use the Oblique Strategies cards.

Asus P8P67 Deluxe, Rev 3.0 • Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3 GHz • 32 GT RAM •  RME Fireface 800 • UAD-2 Octo + Quad + Duo • Windows 10 64bit • Sonar Platinum • Kontakt 5 • Adobe Audition CS6 • (Where ever you go, there you are.)

How about a sarcastic annoyed DLL?
"Don't worry about saving regularly.
What's the worst that could happen? ;)"

"Using shortcuts would save you thousands of hours of time and speed up making great music, but no. Keep clicking that mouse away like a FPS!"

"We've been using midi since 80s, but you know it's ok to use sampling libraries. You don't have to use those Roland Sound Canvas midi sounds all the time anymore".

"No, Gibson is not going to give you a refund".

"We encourage automatic music.
Just press those one finger keys and listen to synth appregios all night long baby".

2018.08 is smooooooth for me, thanks!

Win-7 Professionalx64.  CWBL, SONAR X3e, & most other previous versions.  TASCAM US-1800 audio interface.  A bunch of outboard stuff that never gets used anymore (ADAT boat anchors, smoooth LA4 comps (miss them!), etc.)  Way too many instruments.
