    got the same email.

cinematic guitars or morphestra.  these are on my list but at $200+ it's still too steep for my purchase right now.

I'm gunna pass on their offer.

UGH Bought Morphestra with the 60% off.  couldn't help myself.

Been wanting this library for a year.

Time to go donate blood, get my sign and stand on a street corner.  UGH.  LOL.

I lucked out and got Cinematic Guitars for $99, but truth is that's about what it's worth. Wasn't as useful as I'd hoped, and only a few patches have found a placement in the 3 months I've had it.

I hadn't thought about the option of standing on a street corner with a cardboard sign. "Need soft synths. Please Help."

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    LOL

good to hear about the Cinematic Guitars.  I sort of had that on my list of Guitar libaries but kept holding off.

I don't know that Morphestra is worth $500.  Getting it for $220 seems resonable though.  lots of good patches and multis.  nice to add to the cinematic orchestra stuff.

Same here, debated over getting it over the holidays but this 60% off was the incentive I needed to finally purchase it.

Yeah, I missed it too... but out of necessity I'm afraid. I just picked up my first "baked in" library - Orchestral Essentials, and given the next major project or two, that was what I needed (fingers crossed, I haven't used this sort of library before, but it makes sense, and a numbed of composer friends agreed it was a good approach for me, for now). Anyway, there just wasn't the cash on hand to take advantage - I am kinda bummed, but it is what it is.

Essentials is a great choice & library. If you've bought it out of necessity I doubt you'll regret the purchase.
I'm sure SampleLogic will have future sale promos like this so pick it up the next time around.
I have to say I'm very pleased Morphestra. If you're doing orchestral or film material it compliments libs like OE, Albion, VSL extremely well. I just picked up Alchemy recently & that's also a nice pairing along with the more traditional orchestral libs.

    Necessity is a motha!

But I need some glue, my main orchestral libraries thus far are quite dry (VSL bits that came with Kontakt and KH Diamond, CS2, and CB2). Generally speaking I like them because they are dry, and I can mold them into lots of different shapes, but something is still missing. I've added CineOrch to projects and it's really made a difference, so I'm going to give OE a try. It was down to that or the Spitfire stuff, and this was an easier (read less expensive) way to get my feet wet with ambient sample libraries. And I like the sound a lot!

Alchemy - that has become my go-to synthesizer over the last year or so. It can do so many cool things, and it works really well in orchestral settings.

Morphestra, and Project Alpha, and a couple others that spring to mind would be great additions for the sound part of the sound track, or at least that's how I think I'd use them<G>!

So many libraries... so little cash!
