246 or 255 What are you using? Why or why not?

I am holding with 246 because of 255 being a "hotfix" and because from what little I have had time to use X1, I have had no reason to go to 255.

What about you?

    246. I haven't experienced any of the issues fixed in 255. If it ain't broke...

I just stayed with X1B because I've been smooth on it. Did not want to rock the boat. I will go to X1C when it's released, but I don't know, I just didn't feel like running those "in between fixes" for some reason. Like I said already, X1B has been quite solid over here.

I'm using 246 because 255 won't allow me to run wdm/ks.  ...and I don't use ASIO for a number of reasons.

My interface is an SSL/Soundscape Mixtreme 192 running their most current driver which has been working fine up to Quickfix build 246.

The only reason I see any need for 255 (for me) is that there's a little update for Sonar Plus that only works with 255 as that release made it possible... For the life of me, I can't remember what the feature is at the moment... ;-)

I'm seriously hoping this issue is "fixed" by X1c. My last response from Cakewalk about this seemd to be that it was my driver.... but then a number of other people chimed in with similar problems using other hardware.... So here's hoping!

I have found X1b-246 to be the most stable on my system.

I honestly can't quantify this, but as I attempted to get on with X1 and went through all the hot fixes and add-on's I came back to this build.

I also gave up the mods. They are really cool but because I wanted to get my system stable, I had to eliminate anything that could possibly cause problems. I think the Benstat or Panup additions were brilliant but I can't afford any confusion as to where the bugs are.

255 fixed the track interleave problem of it changing by itself which was a big problem on my system, but it broke snap to grid ... but not as badly as it was in the original release of X1.

I went back to 246, but I can't remember why.  I may have just been testing after a crash.
