3 New tunes

Hi to all my Sonar pals. I've been a member of this forum for a long time, and have never posted any of my own stuff. I have 3 new tunes on our website that I'd love for you guys to give a listen too, and let me know what you think. Please do be critical as I want to get better. Thanks all... You can access the songs here. http://www.firesidetrio.com/music.cfm
They will play automatically. Bobby
Sorry for the double post, I never realized that there was a song forum.

I just listened to your three songs, and I'm very impressed with your writing.  Your arrangements are well crafted, as are your performances.  The vocals are first class and recorded well.  The only nits I have are so minor that it's really just a matter of taste.  I thought the guitar solo in the first tune was not quite loud enough, nor was the lead vocal.  Her voice is good enough to highlight, and the lyrics are good, too.  I would say that each song could have the lead vocal come up just a bit.  That's all, really.  The drums are well recorded, and the overall vibe that I got was that this has a live feel to it, whether or not it was recorded live.  All in all, kudos to the three of you.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks Lynn. The songs were all tracked, not live. I messed with the vocal levels over and over, and kept thinking they were too loud so settled. I'm going to listen again and adjust some more. The drums were done with a midi controller, and EZ drummer Nashville kit. Bass was real bass, the guitar work in all of the songs were all basically one take run throughs. Thanks so much for your feedback. It's greatly appreciated.

I didn' think the vocals in "Walkin' Away" were loud enough, and in the other two, in parts I thought the drums were too loud compared to the rest of the music. I think you can tell the parts where the drums are too loud. So that is the mix to me of those songs.
