Happy Birthday, Jinga... the fun is just beginning. And just remember, shaving your head is not only trendy, it's a great way to hide the gray... no hold on, that was for your 40th b-day.

Cheers,

Russ

Since I turned 55 last October, my girlfriend tells me I've become very funny, I make her laugh a lot. I told her that now that I'm a senior citizen, I can no longer tell myself I'm young. I'm undeniably old, and I embrace it. I no longer feel I have anything to prove, so I've lightened up some, and continue to have fun. What the hell, live it up! Here's to old folks!

I'm about to hit 35, so here's an opinion from the future but close enough that I can REMEMBER hitting 30.

Turning 30 was redeeming. No longer was I a "stupid kid", or about to "grow out of it." You spend your first decade learning how to survive. You spend your teens learning how to relate to others. You spend your twenties learning who you are. By 30, you should be a reasonable facsimile of who you are.
So there's a certain amount of respect owed to you, as you have lived long enough to have learned. Whether this be to get married or to ride down the street on a bicycle with a slice of pizza on your head.

PS. Not only does a shaved head hide the grey, but the receding hairline too!

pps. Happy Birthday!

You sure said alot that fit's in my life Mark.

You know, I think there is a big difference in 55 now than when my Dad was 55. I feel and look comparable to him in his 40's. And I'm without doubt funnier. Shoot jinga you may look and feel 30 when you're 50...if you haven't made your birthday wish there's an idea. lol

Oh I definitely believe that, spacey!

We are nothing, at 50 - like our parents were at 50.

My dad....by the time he was 50....was "old". It's not an illusion. I definitely believe that we are in much better shape, mentally and physically, then they were.

Long Live Rock n' Roll! It keeps you young! It's just that "mind set".....we never grow up! LOL!!!

Geeze.....just look at The Rolling Bones for proof!

But, when I pick up my Les Paul I'm 18 again
Impossible! Les Paul hadn't invented the Les Paul when you were 18.

I'm 33 now and apparently we've lived very different lives...

Happy Birthday!

Excitement?

lots. but that's easy. Finding the awesome in the mundane is the real trip. Excitement is cheap. balance is priceless.

I learn something new about balance everytime I swing right past it.
