England sure was sweating when they not only lost the lead but went down 2-1 didn't they? Got a bit lucky I'd say...

They showed some real stomach for the fight when they went behind, a trait they've been sadly lacking for some time. I may be wrong, but I think that's what having an English manager has put back in the mix.

I really enjoyed the game. But Jaysus- here in NZ Irealand are leading the Blacks 10-9 at half time. no Graham Henry to bring out the half time oranges now either...

I may be wrong, but I think that's what having an English manager has put back in the mix. I liked the George Graham style of him keeping the young 'un Walcott on the bench until he couldn't take it no more and unleashing him by pulling Millstone off after he gave away the free-kick. He (Milner) could have gone for that challenge given the state of play when he made it. But Walcott eh? Three touches then 2-2... It shows he's not scared of the players and they'll get rapped if they don't perform. But boy didn't the young 'un do well? Can we get rid of John Terry though? It was embarrasing watching him getting beaten for pace left right and centre. It wasn't pretty but a good result.

It shows he's not scared of the players and they'll get rapped if they don't perform. But boy didn't the young 'un do well? Indeed he did. I was never much of a footballer, but one thing I remember hearing time and again was the old maxim that there was no substitute for genuine pace, and he's got plenty of that. Can we get rid of John Terry though? It was embarrasing watching him getting beaten for pace left right and centre. I think he plays by popular demand of the rest of the squad... that way, they know their WAGs are safe when they're on the pitch He did get turned a few times last night though, and then left stranded. Trouble is JB, who have we got to step into his boots? It wasn't pretty but a good result.
Yup, we sure sent them Swedes flatpacking

JT did look like he had lead boots on, but Ashley Cole was so horrific he made Johnson look good, which is not easy.

jamesg1213 That last goal...genius, or happy accident? I think he knew that because of the pass to him, it was the only thing he could do, but I'm not convinced he was quite as in control of the situation as he made out afterwards. We should let him have his moment in the sun I guess.

Last goal = no accident. Walcott excellent but keep him on the bench. Oxlade-Chamberlain in place of Milner. Rooney in place of Wellbeck. Win Woy Win

Not sure about that mate. The Ox can't provide the same degree of protection to Johnson as Milner can.

Spain made over 800 passes against Ireland last night. The only way England could ever do that is by getting Wayne Rooney on Mastermind.

Apparently, an ambulance was called to the stadium last night after a Dutch supporter's inflatable footwear exploded.... It is believed that the fan may have popped his clogs.

So, it's Judgement Day. An away match against one of the co-hosts in front of a partisan crowd. Will the ref be a 'homer'? Will Rooney get sent off? Will England get the single point they need (before getting dicked by Spain)? So many questions.....
