32bit & 64bit sonar's global options

Hi all
I have both 32bit and 64bit versions of sonar 8.5 installed and I have created two project folders for each version but for some reason they seem like Siamese twins and insist on sharing the same folders.
So if I open up sonar 8.5 32bit and change my default project folder to the 32bit one that I created,
I will find that Sonar 8.5 64bit has changed it's default folder too which is not what I want.

I think I made the mistake of migrating project settings when I installed them but is there away of separating them without having to uninstall and re-install again?

Cheers

Steve

There is definitely a sharing that happens when you have both versions installed. What happened to me is I installed both versions of 8.5 and named the desktop icons as such. But after a week or so only the 64 bit version was opening??, no matter which icon I chose.I totally lost the 32 bit version. My solution was I installed Sonar 7 32 bit to finish old stuff.

That's what I had to do Cactus, or at least 8.3.4
It would be good if the installer gave you a list of options as to what you would like sonar to share, things like sound card settings and vst folders are a given but not project and audio folders (if like me you still use a global audio folder and not per project.

Well I had no problem with folders as I create a new folder for each Album/ song. I started a main folder that is titled "Sonar 64 Bit"  for all new stuff. Everything in there is 64 bit. All my other folders are obviously going to be 32 bit.

In the end I have opened all my old 32 bit files in 64 bit Sonar and very few plug ins had issues. A few little fixes and all is good. So I no longer even open Sonar 7.
