5.1 encoding in Sona X1 64?

I am using Sonar X1 expanded 64 on a Win7 64bit system. What are the best options for encoding 5.1 surround? If you have done it, what do you recommend (or not)when encoding? Tips, Tricks, Recommendations - please...

    Not entirely sure what the question is. Do you have a final format in mind (Dolby II, DTS) and just want tips on the export process, or want to know what file formats/players play surround on a PC, or want to know what tools to use to convert your 6-channel WAV (or alternate) to Dolby II, DTS (or surround MP3).

    I'm looking to encode surround, pref. 5.1 DTS, exporting to broadcast wav in Sonar. That's my best case scenario.


    However, I've never done this before so any input encouraged. There seem to be options for encoders, but not clear which work best in Sonar or what the difference is.

    And any tips on the process would be helpful.
