I have seen this special issue in a number of Borders Bookstores. Don't bother with Barnes & Noble, they don't carry CM.

I have also seen it at Barnes and Nobel. Maybe it varies from area to area whether they carry it or not.
Cool I will have to get that. Thanks Tom

    Sure they do!
    In Tampa anyways.
It's always a month and a half late, though, for whatever reason

I picked up my copy through MyFavouriteMagazines. Delivered internationally for less than it'd have cost me to drive to either B&N or Border's, and pick it up. Some of these bookstores tend to 'hide' CM in the Computer section, rather than with the music magazines.

I submitted 32 presets for consideration on the CM Special disk. Nineteen were accepted, and 13 of them hit the cutting room floor.
I don't see the harm in uploading those remaining thirteen programs as a freebie.

TB - CM Special Rejects.zip [231K] ReadMe included.

These presets are 'cut from the same cloth' as the ones on the CM Special disk. (They're all from the same programming session.) I didn't know anything about the Galbanum wavetable subset being added to the CM package, so these presets will work for anyone. [Rapture 1.1; XP-1; XP-2 required.]
Like my presets 'living' the CM disk, there's heavy use of mod wheel and channel aftertouch here.

The short ReadMe installation file was modified / stolen directly from [Cakewalk].
As always, open up Rapture's Program Browser, click on it to focus, and press F5 to refresh the program listing.

    Happy holidays, everyone.

Thanks again for your generosity! I like aftertouch, so that's a bonus - since I got a Novation ReMOTE SL, I realized what I was missing.
Looks like the local stores already sold out of the CM issue so this is a great thing to be able to download.

In the classic Christmas Eve Rush I went to Barnes and Nobel and was able to get the last copy of the Computer Music special edition Magazine with the Rapture banks. Thanks again Brock for the extra banks and for giving us a heads up for this.

I did not realize it but there are also Zebra 2 patches and zebracm on this CD, If you get computer music you should install the zebra cm that is on every computer music cd.
The computer Music synth issue is a great issue and has lots of free synths on it, and more important it talks about the different modes of syntheses like additive synthesis and subtractive.
Thanks again Tom for the hint.
Its cool to know that we know one of the contributors.

Some outstanding sounds, here. Thanks to tom and stu. The piano thang is really great, and plenty of other useful stuff from them and the others.

    Great job, again.
