64 bit Thinks it is 32 Bit

Grrr, this is a damn annoying problem.
I installed Windows 7 64 bit except in the computer properties etc it think I have installed the 32 bit disc. So I tried again and the same thing happened. Going to try installing the 32 bit disc just to see if the labels were mixed up but if it is not that has anyone heard of this problem before?

All my hardware etc is suitable for 64 bit, I checked myself and ran the upgrade advisor tool.

If you don't get anything here, repost on the Windows 7 forum  HERE   someone there should be able to straighten it out, if the discs are not mis-labeled.
