70 and still Jammin!!

Randy Bachman and Fred Turner from Bachman-Turner Overdrive both turned 70 this year. I hope I'm cranking like this when I'm their age. Listen to Turner's voice!

I remember seeing them play at Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California when I was young.  Fun stuff!

It can be good or it can be bad.. I think I've mentioned that my dad is 95 and my mom will be 97 in February. It is a mixed blessing. They do still live at home and will until their grand daughter who "helps" them spends all their money and ruins all their stuff. Mom has a bit of dementia and is legally blind.
Then, I watched a little of the Rolling Stones live show last night, from last years Hyde Park concert. It really is amazing that Jagger can still move like that and for so long at his age... then, being a light weight kid I know, when you don't have much weight to carry around it makes a huge difference.
I'd like to see Randy and will watch the video link (thanks for it). I hope they all (the senior class) keep going for as long as they are able. I'd really like to see Wyman perform with the Stones again. I think he is fully capable, but think he just got tired of it.

I really like Live From Daryl's House and Jools Holland, they both have some good older talent, especially Jools. I wonder if Hall and Oates will perform at the RnR HOF induction show in April, that would be cool. I didn't much care for them 'back in the day', I was into heavier music (cooler music and I knew everything, lol) but they really did make some good music. So did a lot of other musicians that I dismissed because they didn't fit into my tunnel vision.

Very Cool!  I was a stagehand at 20 years old when I met these guys backstage in Tulsa, OK.  Even now, they would probably say....  You Ain't Seen nothing yet!!!

Speak of Sir Paul, his last song out just last year is so simply-complex, it took 70 years to write; its called...."Let me roll it to you"  If you have not heard this, its all about the breaks.
    Check it out

I thought I saw on the LFDH site that they were supposed to be touring.  If not, Oates has appeared at Daryl's house, so it doesn't look like there's any bad blood between them.
