700C Delete Control/Programming

Greets! The delete key on the 700C is programmable but I haven't been able to get it operate like the keyboard, that is, with no options pop up. Just delete the selection without asking any questions. Anyone found a way? I'm probably too impatient to have kept persisting, especially when you have a deadline. Thanks for any input.

Yep I have tried changing it to DELETE as per the keyboard but you don't actually have that option available from the key board shortcuts that actually are available. Bit frustrating...

Yeah! That annoyed me too more than once! Would be nice to have an option for that behavior. And a confirmation that developers are actually reading what we suggest and eventually implement new/adapted features.

Hey Grent I wouldn't count on developers reading anything we write full stop. One of the things about this platform that does give hope is the input we do actually see from time to time from staffers but I certainly never expect them to pay any attention to anything I myself write....who's to say staffers even come into these threads really. Cheers.

Mully, that is weird because I was looking for a way to get rid of the dialog box and hadn't found one.  Every time I hit the delete button on the VS700 it brings up a box to delete all in tracks, etc.  And I have grown use to just hitting the ok button after I hit delete.
A simple do not ask again at bottom of dialog box would suffice.

If you find a way let me know

Are you in Edit mode? I'm not in the studio at the moment, but if I remember correctly (also in my free ebook: http://garrigus.com/?VStudio700 ), that in Edit mode the dialog boxes don't pop up.

Yeah Scott you're right but this also make an extra button to push (twice to deactivate) when we're not working in edit mode or do a quick delete selecting with the mouse.

Yep, I know. I was just saying that this is how it currently works.

Hey thanks Scott.. will try that. Sounds like an update required? I can see the sense in the function if in edit mode but the button should really function as labelled all the time IMO. Kinda makes things a bit clunky as Dyo suggests. Cheers for shedding some light.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a choice with this option, but it's actually worked that way since the V-Studio 700 was released. The only way to get rid of the dialog boxes is via Edit mode.
