7/8 time, step sequencer, and groove clip looping

I'm doing a piece in 7/8 time, and tried to use the step sequencer to create a pattern.  However, I couldn't figure out how to set it up for 7 steps with one step per eighth note... any clues?

Also, when I create a clip, that is one measure long, and say, put 7 eighth notes in it, and then try to create a groove clip from that so I can roll it out... it truncates the loop to 6 notes.  Any clues there?  Does SONAR just not understand an odd numbered time signature?

Set your project to 7/8 time so step will follow [meter/ key]
