Of all the choirs released in the last few years this is by far the least impressive to me. The demos and walkthroughs are too wet and loose for this to actually be usable... My two cents.

What would be your choir choice instead of this? :)

Does any good pop choir (BV) exist ? I never found anything interesting sounding real ... :(

Oceania, Metropolis Ark 1 choirs and Storm Choir 2. All of these sound huge and are extremely good.

I really wish publishers and programmers more often made testable, demo versions of their products - especially when they are entering that $500 - $600 price range (and above). Walk thrus and sample tracks are all fine, and help build a general picture of a product, but determining if it's actually what you need requires getting hands-on and putting the library through its paces, seeing if the quirks and faults (and all products have them) are deal-killers, or can be worked around.

I can understand why they would be reluctant to do so, and I even understand why most don't have a return policy. But it does make it difficult to know how to best spend my money. I have heard so much mixed opinion on Lacrimosa, I have no idea what to do. 8Dio seems to generate that sort of bi-polar controversy a lot, it seems -- folks love 'em or hate 'em, sometimes both depending on the product you're talking about.

I really hate 8Dio's demo tracks. They are always way over processed and full of stuff that you can hardly get an idea of their libraries. Also Troels should not talk so much in his walkthroughs... :D Just play the damn instrument (no offense to Troels, he genuinely seem to be excited about their products which is a good thing). I tip my hat to each and every musician spending their time to create external walkthroughs and first look videos to Youtube for the rest of us to see. They are pretty much an invaluable resource, especially for the budget shopper.

8Dio in particular is a kind of a bipolar company. They do small stuff and percussions really well, but most of the bigger stuff seems to be badly recorded and put together.

My two cents on Lacrimosa is; get Performance Samples' Oceania. ;)

missed it.. but my wallet thanks you haha

as for "demos" yep.. when they are too padded out with other stuff... misses the point and makes me think they are good to fill space, but not at the front

And poof, $98 vanishes from my wallet!

Same here.
With the newsletter coupon, 88$ for the choir and CAGE Brass was a pretty good deal.
Now if only a good boys choir would go on sale I'd be all set.

Thanks for your suggestion :) So I need to take a look at them to get more familiar with. :)
