I am trying to remember if the "get this library for free if you spend $98" deals follow one after the other without a break...I am going to buy Lacrimosa (of course I am!), but am pretty indifferent to CAGE Brass. Will they have another freebie available tomorrow, during the second day of the Lacrimosa flash sale?...

There will be another "Get free" offer most likely, but this deal will be done before
it's offered.  It says that the Lacrimosa deal is only good for TODAY...

Until the END OF TODAY....

The emails say that the sales are for 48 hours total.  This one says it ends on Dec. 19th so it should go until an announcement for the next freebie product is given tomorrow.

According to "Tyler" on 8Dio's website chat, the Lacrimosa deal ends "23:59 PST tomorrow". That is cut and pasted right from the chat window...

Please keep your composure. Don't get all weepy if you miss out.

Sounds nice, but, how often does one need 200 people in a choir on one's tunes?

I dunno.

In my case, pretty much twice a week. More, if I forget to switch to decalf after lunch. I simply cannot pass this deal up.

An interesting conversation  from this summer about some either real or perceived issues with the samples in Lacrimosa over at vi-control.  I say that because the initial test case seemed to be narrow, but brought to light issues with many sample choirs and the kinds of pieces they work best in.

That was a painful thread, because the OP had an axe to grind with 8DIO that turned into a personal vendetta.

That was my sense of it, too. I am curious what video the OP originally uploaded, though. Too bad it's no longer there.

Think I would have preferred Caged Brass or whatever it was called.

Do you know if you can sell/transfer the licenses for 8DIO libraries including free gifts?

Of all the choirs released in the last few years this is by far the least impressive to me. The demos and walkthroughs are too wet and loose for this to actually be usable... My two cents.

What would be your choir choice instead of this? :)

Glad I got the CAGE Brass, it's a lot of fun, the guitars are less interesting to me.  As for Lacrimosa like all choir libraries it's going to have issues.  Over the years I've bought a lot of choirs, almost all for well more than $98.  They all have issues.  This one seems fairly decent.  Though it does have some quirks (that VI forum thread isn't wrong).  And oddly enough it doesn't sound all that "big" to me most of the time.  I'm just not hearing the 200 people part.  There are a bunch of mic settings and the sound can be made larger.  But my out of the box impression is more like a small group of singers.
