8dio BEWARE

Buyer beware. I am really angry and disappointed with 8DIO. 8DIO took my money but have not given me a working product. And given i live in another country, i have no remedy for this and am out of pocket hundreds of dollars. I purchased the 1990 Studio Grand on 11 feb 2017. The download link sent to me on 11 feb was faulty. I have contacted support on more than 10 occasions12 feb, 15 feb, 16 feb, 20 feb, 21 feb, 24 feb, 28 feb 3 mar, 9 mar, 14 mar, 19 mar , 22 mar, 30 mar and 8 apr to get new links, support and then request a refund as they have not provided the product. here's an example of an email so you can see i'm not making this up-

Client Care (8Dio Productions)

Hi Varian,

We do apologise for the long wait on this, we have passed this forward and we will of course chase this again immediately.

We will get back to you by the end day with a response

Of course, i got no response for another week until i emailed again.

The product may be good(i wouldnt know) but the service has been horrible and they still have not refunded me or provided a working link for the product

Just for balance, I will say that I have had minor issues after purchasing a library from them about wanting to watermark the library and requiring driver's license number and more. That can add some delay to the process as it appears they handle their sales manually. However, in the end, I have always ended up with a working product. They may simply be overwhelmed, though 2 months is a rather extreme delay. Have you tried their Zendesk chat?

Not the first time someone on an audio forum has complained about 8dio's customer service.

Let's see, 2 months of no help or response, then to appease the irate customer they offer a full refund and a free copy of the product....

Seems like a self-defeating business model.  No wonder they can't afford enough help.

But on the up-side, their products are top-notch.
