A 800 Pro Midi Channels

Hi!

I'd like to use the A 800 Pro to play various software instruments on stage using ableton live. I set every instrument to a different midi channel and would therefore need to quickly change the midi channel on the a 800 pro. Is there a way to do that?

I tried to store the midi channels in different control maps. But it seems the A 800 stores them globally.

Any ideas?

You can use MIDIOx available at www.midiox.com for free.  I use the bottom few notes of an 88 key studiologic, each one set to a different midi channel.  One press of a key, presto, the midi channel is changed! It's a powerful prgm, Works GREAT!!!!!  You could do the same w/ the a-800 or use any one of the knobs or sliders etc.

It's easy to set up though was confusing for me as a newb till I figured it out.  They call it "Patch Mapping" an I could send some directions if ya' need 'em.  You will need MidiOX and MidiYoke.

Thanks for the hint! Unfortunately, I'm using a mac  and midiox isn't available for OS X.
Anyway, I'd really prefer if I could store the midi channel with a control map. Do you know, if thats possible?

If not, t, I'll just assign the arm buttons in Live to some buttons on the a 800.
