If you haven't seen this book and are interested in getting some jazz licks that you can use right away I highly recommend this
I got this book in 91' I think. Check it out!

Looks good. I can also recommend (at least for guitar players) Mickey Baker's Complete Course in Jazz Guitar. Came out in two volumes in 1955 I believe.
