It won't be too hot here, but it will be clear and, since Washington allows decent fireworks, it will be loud and colorful!
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

Nice. The worst of the hot weather will be inland. It's not so terrible right where I'm at--a few miles away from the coast. It is a little humid, though. Because of the heat and lack of water--and in some cases, lack of funding--a few towns have cancelled the fireworks.

Yes. The fourth of July. When we celebrate the victory of a few brave Colonialists over the cruel oppressors from the evil empire of...no wait, nevermind... :-)

I'll be working, but I'll still enjoy it. But speaking of work, I went to our jewelry counter the other day looking for a simple American flag lapel pin to wear on the Fourth and they didn't have any. Never had any. You'd think the very picture of American retail success would have something like that, but noooo... Thankfully, the didn't have Chinese flag lapel pins, too.

Thanks Jan. This year I do NOT plan on blowing off my hand by lighting fireworks.

bapu Thanks Jan. This year I do NOT plan on blowing off my hand by lighting fireworks. That's good to hear. Did you plan on it last year?
