A Little Johnny Cash (Two more songs added)

This is a cut from a 3-song demo I recorded for the local Johnny Cash Tribute Show. They've only been playing together for a year and they're coming right along. Here it is...

    Scott,

Very tight band and the recording sounds very good.    I am so used to hearing Johnny Cash sing this song, he had such a unique voice and delivery/phrasing.   The singers voice is good, if going for a Johnny Cash sound he might need to work on his phrasing a bit more to get the Johnny vibe.  Solid performance though.

I never was a huge Johnny Cash fan but I like this.  The recording is really nice.  I'll bet that's you.  If I was a Johnny Cash fan I would go see this band.  They did a good job.

Good solid recording Scott, not a big fan either of Mr Cash, but you have done the band justice.

    Scott,

Came back for a listen to the new tracks.    Man, that guitar player is pretty amazing.    The band is very tight on all the songs.  Very awesome JC.

Thank you everyone for your comments on the recording and the mix, as well as the band. The band is pretty tight. The lead guitarist really stays true to the act, for sure.

My recording process/signal chain consisted of:

    Male vocal: Rode NT-1000
    Female vocal: AT-2020
Lead guitar: Royer R-101 ribbon in front of a vintage Fender Twin
Rhythm acoustic guitar: Direct via GT-8 Guitar FX Processor
    Bass guitar: Direct In
    Kick: Beta 52-a
Snare: Two SM-57's (one above, one underneath)
Toms and cymbals: Two overhead PG-81's

Thanks again everyone for your ears!
