A Medley from my other good friend, Colleen.

Colleen is another young lady fiddler whom I've mentored and produced an album for.  Colleen plays the fiddle on this, my friend, Rick is on piano and I'm making the rest of the noise on here. This is HIGH energy fiddle music and I hope you all manage to get in a chair dance or two.  P.S. My pet cougar makes her cameo appearance in this at 2:11.

Wow - Colleen is fantastic on that fiddle.  Great production.  I like the chord movement behind the melody.  Great job!

    Hi Scottytunes

Yipes! Great music and fiddle playing. It reminds me of a trip I took to Prince Edward Island many years ago. Lots of Fiddlers there. We bought a Tape of "Island Fiddling" and happily travelled around while listening to it.

This Woman's fiddle playing  is just the thing. It has set my day up nicely.

    Violin shredding neet.

Love it, one minor crit intro perc to violin mix this of course could just be my ears.

    Trekkie,
Thank you! I'm glad you can appreciate this stuff.

    z1812,
Cool. I'm sure your trip was a blast with all of that uplifting music.

    Wookie,
Thanks for your input. The intro mix was intentionally done that way to simulate the fiddler closing in from afar to join the ensemble in celebration.

Wow! Great playing by Colleen and the melody lines are fantastic! I like the subtle percussion too Scott. Did you use the Rode NT-5's on the fiddle with this tune? Had the cans on and it sounds nice. High energy indeed!!

    Hi Larry,
Thanks for listening.  I used the NT-1000 on the fiddle and NT-5's on the guitar.

Thank you, Janet! Glad you liked it

Why would you want me as a mentor? Do you have a secret desire to play the fiddle?

Scott, I have a not-so-secret desire to play the fiddle, bass guitar, guitar, drums and the piano better.  But I was thinking of how nice it would have been to have a mentor like you for the piano.  :-)

And I guess I missed the cougar.  I'll listen again. :-)

Wow. That was some barn dance. I don't know who played what, but what a great song--superb fiddling and such a quality recording. Thanks for it. It put me in a good mood.
