A Prayer sung by 65 Angels!!!!

On a winter evening in 2005, 65 children sang this prayer at the Gateway of India. An audience of 5000 was moved to tears. 50 of these children were Adivasis (Tribals). Cannot thank Charuhas Dalvi enough for training these children.

Composed by me and written by Shashi Vyas and Mangesh Padgaonkar.

Once again, the song is in two languages - Hindi and Marathi.

The first part of the song says that God is One, even if He/She has different names.

The second part of the song says that we are fortunate to bask in the Your Sun. It is Your inspiration that makes the bird fly and it is Your music that runs in the streams and Your colours that the flowers adorn.

I still have to decide whether God exists or not. But the innocence and the purity of the voices of these children makes you want to believe!

LISTEN TO THIS SONG MY FRIENDS AND CLEANSE YOURSELVES!

    Thanks Gary - That's a great compliment!

Thanks Herb - The song has been recorded and mixed by Chinmay Harshe. I shall pass your compliment to him. And also to all the acoustic musicians who have really added value to this song.

Hi Kaushal, beautiful song, great performance and fantastic mix. Love the sounds, all of them, but that flute is excellent. This doesn't sound like an easy song to sing for a childrens choir, great job.

    More please.

    Kaushal,

Nothing like a choir of angels!!!  Extraordinarily beautiful.
I'll keep this one handy for recharging the soul battery.

    Thank you.

    Thank you Rik and Rick!

@ Rik - It really wasn't easy. Three months of coordinated rehearsals and the children's enthusiasm made it possible though. The flute is played by Vijay Tambe and exceptionally talented bamboo flautist.

@ Rick - Thanks man! Soul battery... what a word!
