A Request for Craig - FX Chain bass

Hi Craig,

One of the few plugins that I'm really missing from my Waves (Horizon) is CLA Bass. I've been debating whether or not to buy it but then I'd rather step up to Mercury in one go and that's something I can't spring for at the moment. Since you've created a bunch of really good FX chains I was wondering if you could do one "a la" CLA Bass. I know the controls are going to be a bit more limited but I was wondering what you could come up with. I can usually get "kind of" what I need but generally I struggle with bass guitar (also due to my smaller monitors I think, DynAudio BM5A) a little more and CLA Bass, when I tried it, seemed to have some magic in it that gave me what I needed a lot quicker.

Sorry, I don't have CLA bass. I believe I had a limited-time NFR at one point when I was doing reviews for EQ magazine, but don't think I can download a trial version after having an NFR...

Can you describe to me the qualities/modules/sonorities you seek? The CA-X bass amps might be a good starting-off point, although like the other CA-X amps, they're designed more to emulate amps that don't exist rather than amps that do.

You might also want to listen to my new album, "Neo-." It's not public, but has unlisted links you can access below. I'm pretty happy with the bass sounds on it so if you like any of those sounds, mention the song and I can put together a dedicated FX chain. Several of them use the CA-X amps. The bass parts credited to Juliette Duval use actual amps so they would be harder to do.

    Craig,
I just got a whole new perspective of you.  Love your music man!
Reminds me a little of some Queen, ReoSpeedWagon and a few others I listened to as a kid.
Don't mean to crash the OPs post, but I had to say thanks for the sneak peek.
