A Song For The Seasons-Original-UPDATE-VIDEO SLIDESHOW

Wrote this in the summer of 2017.  Change of pace a bit.  Just piano & string ensemble (tried my hand at string arrangement), with a single lead voice.  I used Toontrack EZ Keys and Native Instruments Sessions Strings but I updated the string MIDIs when I upgraded to Session Strings Pro last May.  There's a huge difference in the quality of the samples between Sessions Strings 1 and SS Pro.  That's why I'm glad I keep everything.

UPDATE-11/19/2018-Did a video slideshow to this.  Some of the pictures were taken in my yard but most I got off of the web.

I liked the song - it made me sit back and think about the seasons of the year passing by - nicely done. I really enjoyed the lyrics - well crafted there.

Great lyrics. I really like reflective songs on the passing seasons. They take on a whole lot of sobering meaning when your age starts getting up there!

I think you did a great job with the orchestration. Maybe not that complex, but the parts fit together well.

I find myself preferring synth strings (or a string pad) over sampled strings, I guess because the sampled ones always sound too "scrape-y" to me. Well, just me I guess.

Your choice of chords are always very tasteful John - nice touch of jazz. The intro on this is fabulous.
