A Song From My Newest Band (CORRECTION)

Yep, I've joined yet another band. These guys, "8084" are VT rock legends from the 80's. The lead singer, bass player and drummer set off to do an acoustic tour, adding Rich Abel from Long Island on guitar and me on fiddle, mandolin and guitar. The new band is called "Randy Smith and his Band of Merry Men. I can't wait to wear those green tights! LOL
Here's an ORIGINAL SONG that they wrote and recorded as 8084. Too Late For Love

I didn't see "too late for love" Scotty. I guess I was late.

That's pretty funny Scotty, no disrespect intended at all! I just don't see you in this band?

The tune rocks hard, the singer is amazing, and the recording is awesome. It's all really really good. It just made me smile pretty broadly when I played it? It's like a non-sequitur? That singer rocks. The BGV too, all glued in there nice and tight, and the guitars. It's all period perfect, but where's the fiddle?

Robby, read the post. It is an ACOUSTIC tour. The fiddle will be wailing on that song, replacing the lead guitar.

I just like to look at the pictures. It will be interesting to hear this song with your fiddle overlay instead of those screaming guitars.

Cool tune and great sounding band Scotty, not familiar with that tune but remember "Fantasy" from Aldo Nova.  Great band I thought would go far back then.
Looking forward to hear you shred on the fiddle. You can't fool me though; I've heard you play shred electric guitar solos that were second to none and could curl hair.  Though you are mostly known here as Cakewalk's finest country fiddler, rock/ hard rock soloing is your roots correct?

Can't imagine this unplugged. Should be interesting.
Makes me think of Danny Danzi singing 'where have all the flowers gone'..
    The track is great......

    Hey, Scotty,

The new band sounds FANTASTIC!  Great vocalist, and it'll be interesting to hear the acoustic version of this with your amazing fiddle work.

Good luck with the upcoming tour, hope you have a blast!

    Hi Grant,
Although the fiddle is my first instrument, rocking the guitar is where my heart has always been. As of late, I enjoy playing them pretty much equally. Glad you liked the track and thank you for your kind words.

    Hi Tim,
Yes, I hear the resemblance to Danny. This should be as cool unplugged as Bryan Adams is when he is unplugged. He really surprised me.

    Hi Bob-O,
Thank you so much for your vote of confidence! I'm looking forward to it for sure!

    Thanks for listening Mark!

Sorry guys, I was confused by the fact that Randy had worked with Aldo. This is actually Randy's original song.

It sounds great ...I was gonna post that it was not on any album of aldo`s that I`ve ever listened to and I had them all.
It does have a very Aldo Nova feel to it though.

    Cheers,

Glad you clarified it's an acoustic tour.... I was thinking the same thing as Robby.... where would the mandolin and fiddle go in this?
