We considered a polka version but our accordion player broke his fingers.

Sounds good! Well . . . the "ah-oohs" could use a little work. Try hitting your thumb with a hammer. Works for me.

The "ah oohs" started to sound better as the song went on.
    Great job on the channeling.

The only speaker I have hooked up is a little avantone grotbox, so for fun I thought I'd check it out in glorious mono. Your mix is amazingly faithful to the original and I thought it sounded great, especially the guitars and piano. Such a fun song. And your vocals were a treat as well.

Definitely time to practice what you preach. In the Great Melodyne War of 2016, you allied with the "use it" camp so time to step it up for those "ah-oooohs" !!!  If not for me, or for music, or for the side, or for God, then please do it for Warren Zevon's mouldering carcass so it may rest in peace.

    Faithfully Submitted,

Happens to be one of my favorite songs oddly enough, and you guys really did it justice.  A solid rockin' cover for sure.  Only crit- I'll second Tom's suggestion to treat those howls to a little Melodyne.  Other than that minor point it sounded great.

    WOW, Ed and James,

I've been away for a while and almost missed this tasty, kick-butt Warren Zevon cover!

Excellent all the way around, guys!  Ed, your vocals on this are absolutely stellar, the instrumentation and James' guitar work and tone was pure dynamite, and the production and mix were top notch all the way.

Super job, boys, another great collab!

    Have a good one!
    Bob
