Does anyone know if any of the other Platinum Samples libraries for SD3 come w/ any midi grooves like their Superior kits???

Also, do they have wet/dry versions of their kits in their other libraries, like the SD3 Steven Slate kits for example? Or is it just one sound like this free one?

I had actually forgotten that the content came available, and this post reminded me to download it.

GREAT sounding drums - check out some of their other available kits - the Andy Johns one sounds pretty killer.

Anyways, thanks to Cakewalk, and thanks for the post of this thread to remind me.

I also just happened to have carved out 9 hours of time today for doing NOTHING but music, so I am going to try out the new content in a couple of tunes I am working up.

    Hi Paul,

You need to log in to the Cakewalk store and get your serial number (Ctrl + C works for this).
Then open the download doc and it gives you the website to go to.
You do need to register on the Platinum Samples site, and log in.
Hit the Register button, then paste your serial number into the space (first space, the rest of it parses into the appropriate boxes).
    Then download your kit.

Although, when I went to check this, it looks like their site is down.  Must be all us Cakewalkers bum rushing their site and we crashed it!  Ooops!
Check back later to see if it's up.

Upgraded from Sonar 8.5 producer to X2 producer this week. Decision made after 1 day trial. I love the GUI, the tools and the positive effect on the sounds I mix.

Spend an evening downloading all the freebies. Rapture and Dimension are now fully available to me. With the voucher I could buy Z3ta+ 2. I got a swift reply as promised from costumer service.

I was kind of frightened after reading all those angry stories on this forum during the X1 release. But I feel a warm glow of love when I think of all the posibilities Cakewalk offer me now. I am one satisfied costumer. I am a proud owner of the total package.

Not only am I thankful, but I feel a deep respect for the comeback Cakewalk have made after the first problems with the x-route. I look forward to more products in the line of Roland's often music making changing vision: what do musician's need as a too, how do they make music?

The fact Boss, Roland and other quality hardware from sister companies aren't forcefully integrated with this software is for me a sign this is serious software. But I am looking forward for that route if it may come.

    Thanks and respect!

    Hi guys,

I just got back into the office (9am LA time here)... and the server's up... and was up at 3am when I left the office this morning...  It's possible that our host went down between then and now, if so I apologize... Can you please try again.

BTW - we recommend you use 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org) which is free.

    Thanks,

Oh - since you were here, I was checking out the other kits, and on one of the demo 'Play' buttons, clicking it did not produce any playback - I think it was one of the Evil kits.

LOVE the ones we got with the Cakewalk content club - I will DEFINITELY consider picking up the Andy Johns kit.  That one sounds fabulous.

    No worries, Platinum Rail,

Just thought I'd let you know - hate to see you lose a sale if someone wanted to check out the demo and got peeved they couldn't hear it.

Me, I am contemplating the Andy Johns kit at the moment.

Good luck with your DB and servers,

Thanks for your understanding....  and enjoy the kit!

    Nice sounding kit.

Does anyone know if any of the other Platinum Samples libraries for SD3 come w/ any midi grooves like their Superior kits???

Also, do they have wet/dry versions of their kits in their other libraries, like the SD3 Steven Slate kits for example? Or is it just one sound like this free one?

Normally no, as midi grooves are sold separately (Real Blues, Real Latin, etc..)  https://www.platinumsamples.com/index.php

Some Kits come with 8 patterns (Jim Scott Brush Kit) but it's more to show what the Kits can do.

Platinum Kits come with pre processed sound - but there are 2 versions of each kit - the normal (full level / round robin samples) and the light version (for faster loading / smaller memory usage).

Correct, the only exception is that there's a sampler of some of our grooves included with the Andy Johns Kit... (when using the SD3 Installer).

The Rock Legends Kit 1 & 2 are different presets of this same kit with different cymbals (listen to the demos and check out the kit listings on our site)

    Rail,
Last night I tried downloading the files several times and each time the .zip files were corrupted. I tried to decompress the files with three different applications, each gave the same error. This morning I am getting the Internal server error. Apparently the server issues have arisen again. I will try again later in the day.
    Thanks,
    George
