A builder that caught my

attention.
Island Instruments

I linked to the model and at @3:50 in the video (IIRC)
is when I thought I was really hearing the instrument.

The luthier is doing some things that really caught my interests.
I'm at work and can't see so going on memory....

A wide nut - 45mm/ 1.7" - finger pickers will probably like that.
16" radius and strung with some beefy strings....012 - .052
Don't recall scale length but probably varies as it's a custom order axe.
I especially like that he prefers an oil finish too.

Very minimal design and reminds me of the first electric guitar I ever played-
a Harmony "Stratotone" which I still have.

The "Forty Four" is the one I liked. A neck through would be cool too.

Well thought some may enjoy seeing what this guy is doing.
