A day late, and a dollar short!!!
I'm disabled, and do not get check until tomorrow, but found someone to loan me money to order it later today, along with the Box! I was just wondering how much did I really lose, being a day late, are the DSP Strings, something I will be kicking myself over? I wish they would make the cut-off dates in synch with people getting Social Security, I know I'm being selfish, just bummed, that's 2 upgrades, I have missed out on by 2 days, around 8.5.3 days, and now this one, oh well, I hope it kicks a@@, make it easier to take. I also can't order the full TH2, how long will that be $99? Sorry for the pity party, but thanks, if you have any info on TH2, and some of the other full versions!

I know, it just sucks, lol!!! Hee-Haw said it best-If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all, gloom, despair, and agony on me! What sucks, is he(buddy), said he would have loaned it to me yesterday, but I couldn't get in touch with him. Oh well, dems the breaks, but thanks for making me laugh! Have a good one!

Your welcome and there's always next year when X3 comes out. They usually come out in around this time.

Yep, I had plenty of time, then, the wife decided she needed something(not nearly as important, lol), so it threw me off, just a few days,F*&@! Considering the toys, I get, as this is just a hobby, hard to tell her no, although I had bitten a hole in my tongue, she doesn't understand that a freebie is a freebie! Better timing for sure next time! Going to pout for awhile, lol!

I got to really play around with all that stuff yesterday for the first time. The strings are better than the ones included in X2 and SLIGHTLY better than the Garritan Pocket Orchestra strings but they're not THAT much better. It sucks you missed out on them because free stuff is always cool but I wouldn't get too upset about it. Cheers.

Rest easy, my friend. I responded in another similar thread about the strings. They are slightly better than the Pocket Orchestra included in DimPro. Not so much to be kicking your self about. There are much better string libraries out there. I still stand by my statement that they are nice for a giveaway extra, but not anywhere near the quality to pay 150 hard earned dollars. Be happy with X2! Start saving for a much nicer string set. Missing that offer is not worth worrying about. If I were you I would at least contact Cakewalk and let them know you had to wait on your disability check before you could purchase X2 and is there any way they could let you participate in the offer. My few instances that I have called they were more than understanding and very nice to boot. This may be an oppertune time to show us all how big a heart this company has. It's worth a phone call at least.
