A few issues with Track Templates
Since track templates were introduced there have been a couple nagging things - most I have reported:
1) when saving and then loading a Drum track template for Superior the inputs get messed up, in an intermittent way. Yesterday I saved a template for drums from a previous project and loaded into a new project. The Kick In was point to True Pianos, and the Snare was pointing to the Kick outputs of SD2. A bunch of other kit pieces were messed up too.
2) The drum maps on the midi source track of the Superior Track template are never loaded in properly.
3) For some reason when PODFarm2.5 is used saved in a track template, when loaded into a new project, the gain coming out of PODFarm is down a couple db. There is nothing I can do to correct it - everything appears to be set properly - the gain us simply lower. I always have to delete the PODFarm instance and re-load it to fix.
4) Sometimes track ProChannel EQ settings are zeroed out upon loading a template. The EQ is turned on, but the gain settings of each frequency are zeroed out. Last week I saved and then loaded a True Pianos template into a new project and was having trouble mixing the Piano - it seemed very "mid-rangy". I thought "I know the piano should work in the mix, must be something else." Only to find out a few days later the EQ was zeroed out on the piano. This also occurred on about 3 drum tracks on my superior template yesterday.
I always start by creating a fresh new template from an existing project before loading into a new one - so it is not the case of an old template created by a different version of software.
