A first time for everything..
..and I can't believe it. If it were not that it is still sitting in front of me I may not believe it. For the first time...the very first time I have opened a Butterfinger and there it is...perfect. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now that is amazing. Anybody that knows anything at all about candy bars can surely understand...that this is an amazing thing to see. Had to share and wish I could upload a photo from work. Oh well...I'm gonna eat it!

oh man! those are rare indeed. but you can't really tell if they're perfect until you've taken your first bite. if you bite it and the inside color is a dull orange then it's stale and too old. if it's crumbly and bright orange then it's fresh and therefore you THEN have a perfect butterfinger!

Beagle you wouldn't believe it! It was not only a perfect looking Butterfinger but every bite was excellent. It didn't crumble apart or even have little chunks of chocolate break off and go down the front of my shirt! Perfect!! Un freakin' believable! I'm almost sad...it took so many years and now... it's done. OH! I almost forgot...while admiring in amazement I couldn't help but wonder...so I did.. I gently rolled that baby over and WOW...the bottom was completely covered in chocolate and not one single flaw...I'm simply blown away. What a day I tell ya.

Sure enough, I worked off the Butterfinger..should have stayed at work-gets tough around the house lol. Easy to work hard for yourself. I sure didn't post with the intention of teasing or whatever those that may not be able to enjoy one due to health reasons. As I would very much like this remarkable event be funny or exciting to all- if the candy bar doesn't work replace it with...carrot...pretend I said carrot.

Reminds me of a long-gone bar we used to have as kids..Orange Cracknell. It had the texture of broken glass when you bit into it, and you'd spend the rest of the day trying to get it out of your teeth.

Hi, Spacey ... you must have been readin Aldous Huxley trying to describe a chair or Mozart! Was it fun? Was it tasty? What? No story behind it? (At 61, I don't do a lot of sugar or salt, either, which Strummy and Bapu say is the reason why I don't play more music!)

Mosh the only reading I've been doing is about guitar building. I'm expanding my interests though and currently waiting on books about pickups-history and making of- as I'm giving serious thought to making my own. Also books about wiring guitars/basses. The Butterfinger... a joke. One can read anything into it and that happens almost naturally here so your reference is "on target" even though...and yes, very much fun and tasty. The Story?....it is true that I don't remember ever having one that wasn't busted up. I think it was perfect. At 57 I eat and drink whatever I feel like and I don't eat and drink when I don't feel like it... I don't carry plastic bottles of water around with me. I take no medications. The doc said he wished he had my blood pressure and I'm not repeating what the nurses said... I'm healthy and feel no different than when I 35-36 and my bones were the strongest they'd probably get. I don't know what one is to do to be and stay healthy but I do think one is better off listening to their "gut feeling" much more so than listening to health nuts....but to each their own and I feel like eating a banana split right now...to bad I'm at work. James...when I was young there was a coconut bar, three flavors, and....love...pure love. There was a small store on the side of a frontage road that I'd walk to for treats. The frontage road was alongside Hwy 66. ya...route 66 ran down the middle of town. One day while riding my bicycle, I was 6 and know because we moved from there that year- the army was moving. I sat and watched military go by as far as I could see in either direction. The amazing thing....everything stopped...everything, all at once then army men started getting out. Wide eyed I stood up as three or four walked to me. They were nice to my surprise and one pulled out the biggest Hershey candy bar I'd ever seen! That thing was BIG! ...they laughed, as I stood there holding the most fantastic thing I'd ever seen. That was the day I knew I was going to be a fighter jet pilot...to protect those guys. Wished I could have....but that's life...and I still wish I could. I have to go find some ice cream.
