A little WHITESNAKE with Low End now, I hope !!!!!!!

Hey Cakies.... Well I don`t get much time to do music anymore but was able to pull this one together.

Yup it`s a classic Whitesnake tune from Slip of The Tongue called The Deeper The Love.

This is a New Link above with adjustments as per peeps replies...Hopefully there`s more Low End now!!!!!!

Hope you ENJOY!!!!!

great job, love this song too.
the mix isn't really doing you any justice though.
your levels are all there but the low end is missing in a big way.
this might also help with the drums which need to have a notch filter in the snare around 300-500khz to get rid of that smack/crack,
not the good crack either.it may be just squashed a little too much as well

not to drag on the song bro, you did a great job performing this.
vocals, guitar, bass ,drums, all there and nicely done. and whitesnake isn't the easiest of bands to replicate, im impressed.
a mix fix, that's an easy fix :)

Guess it's not fixed yet, but what a great job you have done on the song. Sung with emotion for sure. Very nice.

+1 on the bottom end.  I have some bottom in the headphones but it sounds "thin".  The rest is all done really nicely.  I like the mix and your voice is better than, Alan.  AS I LISTEN, I hear more bass.  My ears suck!  Love the vocal!

    Alan,

Solid cover.  I agree with the comments about the lack of bottom end.   Listened to the original WS version and the bass is really present.   Good performance, everything sounds good.

Thanks Guys, I guess I shoulda mentioned this is a vocal cover only. I bought the backing track ...so there`s no adjusting it.

I once got in a lot of trouble on a date when I asked, "How about a little White Snake?" Why do people always mistake my meaning?  Oh and you can still do LOTS to that backing track even through it's an MP3. You can dance it through Izotope's Ozone for starters and fatten it up nicely...

Some pretty cool guitar in this tune. But how can we talk about Whitesnake without making mention of Tawny Kitaen?

shes aging gracefully, maybe im not that's all.
    great pic man.

by the way, totally agree with you on the mp3 ozone or something to fatten this up.

Alkie, ya you should of mentioned it

I was getting ready to burn my guitar.

nice vocals man, really strong, really present.

You can adjust the EQ, dance it through a multi-band compressor, you can excite it (broad or MB), you can widen it (broad or MB), you can do all kinds of shiz to punch it up...

Cheers guys, yeah for $2, I can download the multitrack version of the bacing track and do some adjusting just might do that, funny thing is though on my three set-ups there`s very decent low end on this track. And in my car with the 2 12in subs, there`s mucho gusto benny low end.

P.S. nice 1 Robbie ...gotta love Tawny like that LOL!!!!!!!

OK that splains a lot. Still I think you did an amazing job on vocals.

What Robby said about Ozone is the truth. You can use it to enhance the bass without affecting the rest of the mix.  I have used it to do that very thing to some old cassettes that had lost their sparkle as tape tends to do. Ozone was able to put the crisp back in the highs and make the cymbals sizzle and bring out a bottom end and punch that was never there on the cassette when it was new.

Hey, that sounds better! Good job Alan. You spanked the bottom like I would like to spank Miss Vida Guerra...

And your vocal performance is superior, great job really.  I think they sound better in this mix too.

You think it could be a psychological experiment? It is possible to play something for someone, then tell them changes have been made, play the same thing for them, and the brain plays tricks! Stupid brain, I was pissed at mine the other day so I attacked it with a Q-Tip through the ear canal... That'll teach it a lesson it won't soon forget! Or maybe it will?

People can hear what they believe has been done :-) I doubt that Alan is this diabolical? I'm pretty sure he made some changes, although, the extent may have been subtle. But I've seen people react differently on different days to the exact same recording? So I know this is how our brains work (or don't?)

Yes, this is a totally different mix....The previous mix was done on the site that I got the backing track from, this time I downloaded the separate tracks and remixed it...I also had to add some new verb and delay to the vox as this mix is sonically different and the previous vox didn`t sit well to my liking.
