Hi, The mix is not centered - it is really right heavy. The vocals are buried so it is hard to make out lyrics. I like the bridge arrangement. Can you listen to this in headphones?

Thanks for the comments Rimshot. This mix is from years ago. I am trying to salvage the midi file in MC6 and rework the mix. The vocals are muddy almost by design because I can't sing on key and I tend to hide them. But I will also lay new vocal tracks with the remix and try to do a better job.

I agree with Rimshot for the most part. The bass guitar had a good, solid tone, and the synths were audible, but the drums were buried as well. Let us know when you have a new mix.

I learned a trick from a mix & mastering book. Assign each instrument a number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc and associate the loudness with the number. 1 in your face - 5 is whispy and far away If everything's a 1 or too many wrong thigns are a 1 then we got problems. THat's what I hear here. It's just not mixed well enough to comment.

Since you asked for advice about your writing I have to say keep it up! This is really good. Your voice is better than mine so put it up front. You may be suprised. Just keep at it with the mixing. Search youtube for 5 minutes to a better mix. I think it's Recording Revolution. Nice tune!

Ok it was the title that got me. I can't add to the other comments I agree. It has a 80's Moody Blues flavour, it's a bit cheesy the sound and I like The Moody Blues 80's stuff. But it has potential. So don't give in and keep working at it. Neb

Guitarprima, thanks for the words, very much appreciated....I'll check out youtube for some mixing help! BenMM....I do understand your comment. I didn't set out to make a cheesy song, but low and behold, I did. I have to admit though I never made the Moody Blues connection, but that is a fair statement. Could have been worse, you could have perhaps heard some A-Ha in there :-)
