I forced myself to read it, the sad part is, I don't mind good trolling if it is done with class, pete is even a sorry excuse for a troll.

You're right pete, I'm not a rocket scientist or a quantum physicist, but I'm smart enough to know you have a slightly higher IQ then plant life. Actually the pic is from 1992. I'm much uglier now with the hump and all.

Steve, Try this. download NyquistEQ. (I'm assuming your version of GT has VST effect support) Place it in the FX bin of each guitar track. Play with the nodes, giving each track boosts and cuts at different frequencies. At some point, each guitar sould get more defined and seperate. You could do this with any EQ, but the fluid control of this one makes it easy to sweep frequencies and find the sweet spots. You may get some really nasty stuff 'til you get the hang of it, but give it time.

Grant, I am not familiar with the Johnson Millenium, but if you like the built-in amp sims, I would definitely try a direct line input from it.

Pete, I was out on the back porch the other day, and I realized it was almost mosquito season. Oddly, I thought of you.

What kind of jacks does the amp have for line outs?

2 standard jacks, I plan on either making a cord with 2 out into a stereo input. Or get my old sun mixing board out of storage. What do you suggest?

Well, I was thinking you might want to consider a mixer soon, but since you have one, dust that puppy off! You will need the appropriate adapters to get from the mixer to the sound card. Radio Shack has just about any combo you could imagine. I us a Yamaha MG10/2 in a scenario similar to what I picture yours as. Mic(s) on dedicated channels. Line in from the amp on one. Line in from my FX pedal on one. Just dial up the input you want, and select line in as the input on your audio track(s). Whether you use the mic or line in, you can select it from the mixer, and you don't have to mess with plugging things into the computer all the time. Mic the amp in the Left channel, and record a simultanious track direct in on the Right channel. You will really be cookin' with that setup.

Hi guys, ive been around here a little, so im not exactly new, but do me a favor and check out these tunes on my sites, my point being to ohgrant, i am an avid GT2 user, love it, tried GT3, didnt like it at all, didnt see any advantage to upgrading. Anyway, just check out my tunes, all have been done with GT2, drag and drop drummer and a few drums from Beta Monkey Music. I just bought a new Dell XPS 410, with a soundblaster fi extreme music card, love it and put GT2 onto it, couldnt ask for better, does all I need and im doing quit well, will not tell all and blow my own horn (til the contracts are signer lol) Welcome any feedback.
