A number of issues of the last 2 weeks.

Hey guys.

I finally moved to CbB about 4 weeks ago. Over the last 2 weeks or so, I've started to run into a number of problems, which are becoming consistent. I've had a quick look through the pages, but can't really find too much that relates, and I apologise, but I don't have too much time to investigate things lately, trying to get two large projects to completion. Nothing is stopping me from working, just causing delays, and wondering if anyone else is having the same issues and perhaps found a fix.

Firstly, I'm having numerous problems with good old take lanes. I can't copy a bit from anywhere, without flattening it, and copying from the comp lane. So, if I want to go back and copy/use a different take later, it's a longer process. That's if it works, because at times, the take lane will disappear, or the copied clip will disappear, or it will add it to another clip. Just unpredictable really. You never really know what will happen. And undo doesn't work in any of these instances, leaving your take lanes in a mess. I never work on the original file of takes anymore, always working from a copy. So, take lanes, in general, are causing me work flow problems.
2nd. Changing the gain of a track, or part there of. Now, I know most would use automation, but I don't always, sometimes deciding to change various parts of tracks with gain mods instead. This has worked fine for me for years. Don't get me wrong, I use automation extensively, but not usually in what I call my pre-mix stage. For instance, I will heavily modify a bass track that is inconsistent in gain, rather than use a compressor to heavily iron it out, or automation to ride it. I will fix it to what I want first, then usually lightly compress from there. Just my way. Now, and I cannot find what triggers this, I can make say 5 gain changes, then the 6th attempt will remove all volume from the selection I'm working on. Ctl Z brings it back, re-apply gain change, it disappears again. If I close and reopen the project, all is good, and I can continue. But that's not the only odd thing. The other one, is the track will go completely silent as if muted. Again, close and reopen, all is good. I have no idea at what point either of these things happen, they just do, and cause me delays, and sometimes, heart failure !!
3rd. Most times when I turn on a pro channel on a bus, and turn on the console emulator, I cannot change it from the default selection. unable to select another console. Deleting the plug and re-inserting fixes it. Again, not a biggie, just a time waster.
4th. Side chaining, and there has been past threads on this. I cannot insert a send for side chaining into a pro channel plug, without closing and re-opening the project, to get it to work. This is an old issue that has been unresolved for the best part of a year that I know of.

I'm running the last version of CbB and current win10 updates. Splat does not do the first 3 of the above. Just wondering if anyone else has an answer to any of the above. Grateful for any help. cheers. Dave.
