"I wished we could get Cakewalk to understand how important it is to have these bread and butter project database operations work".

Would this work as workaround?

1. Select all
2. Position curser at 153
3. Hold alt and click, cutting all tracks
4. All tracks to the left are highlighted automatically (default) so hit delete key
5. Select all
6. Drag tracks to new start position
-or- Go to menu & delete measures 1-153

4. All tracks to the right are highlighted automatically so hit delete key

I thought the trks to the right were the ones he wanted to keep and get dragged to 1:01:000? Wouldn't this delete the trks he wants to keep?

Yes, in my post #11 I have inserted the method that works.

Ooops! I meant to the left... the ones that he wanted gone. Anyway, the tracks highlighted after cutting can be set to right, left, or neither depending on what you want.
