A simple mindblowing test

Well it's not that mindblowing. Or maybe it was for about 5 seconds, but the more I thought about it, the more it seems that those are the ones that most people would pick, regardless of whether or not they'd just done the arithmetic...confused? Well here you go....

Only a carpenter would think of a hammer as a tool. I was raised in the Ikea generation. The only tool you need is a screwdriver and some weird connectors, one of which is always missing.

you have to remember you're dealing with musicians here so no one is really "normal" .... I too did this a few days back on FB and nope it wasn't the 98% answer here either.....

My answer wasn't red. That's not surprising since I never think of red first. A deep royal blue or an eye-piercingly bright lime green are my typical first choices for color. The tool part is a little embarrassing. My first thought was of a brain. Not mine, of course. I was thinking of useful tools. It was in a jar and it was blue with lime green squiggly lines running through it. After I thought of that, I immediately wanted to take it back. How stupid could I be? Obviously, the correct answer would have been Tool (the band).

Reminds me of a bit of dialog from The Big Bang Theory, in which Sheldon guesses that someone's name is Mohammed Lee, based on the assumption that Mohammed is the most common first name in the world, and Lee the most common surname.

In reality, there are probably very few people named Mohammed Lee. Similarly, there are few red hammers. Axes on fire trucks, but not many hammers. Red is just the most likely color to pick out of the air, and a hammer is the most common tool everyone's likely to have used.

Quick, name a musical key.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Interestingly (), no. The day I arrived to make said purchase, I found that the nice people at Stihl had dropped the price by £90. I was chuffed to bits.

A friend of mine was very depressed. I kept trying to cheer him up but nothing seemed to be working. Then I remembered how he used to love the old steam trains, so I booked us tickets to go on a vintage steam train ride. As it pulled into the station he jumped out in front of it..........

Hi

It's on the 68/103. You need to stop listening to all that bland mainstream stuff. Listen to some proper music from time to time and do it sitting upside down in an empty swimming pool with a stick of celery in your left ear and you might finally learn something.

Had to wait till I was home with this damnified iPad so I could post. I must be abnormal too...blue, wrench. But my skepticism meter is pinging pretty high as regards that so called test and it's purported results.
