A thanks to Craig Anderton....

I know it is sort of your job but IMO, you are really doing it well with the FX chains and other stuff.. and all the tips and always an answer. You are really helpful and are adding a lot of cool stuff to Sonar. Henry should give you a raise!
Thanks!

I've been a big fan since Electronic Projects for Musicians. Getting a reply from Craig on this forum is always a big thrill!  I've made many a stomp box myself based on his column in Guitar Player!  It's a real blessing to have his input in this forum and to have his FX chains in Sonar.

Peace!

Mr Anderton certainly is a major 'bonus' for Sonar users, his help and tips, insight and seemingly endless enthusiasm is quite something, in a role which at times sadly, seems a little thankless. The sign of a person who truly loves and believes in what he is doing, with goals and aspirations which may not be readily apparent to the masses.

I've got to agree with sentiment of the OP. I've just been auditioning the FX chains with a newly acquired Gibson SG and there are many real gems.

+1 to all the above.  There is a generosity of spirit about the whole forum which is so positive and keeps me coming back.  And Craig is the apogee of it.  Thanks to all, and  to CA in particular.

I had no idea who Mr. Anderton was before I became a Sonar user (my X1 purchase came with a copy of the Advanced Workshop vids which I still learn from). Have learned many many things from his presence here.

I used to be a fan of music, artists and bands. Now I'm a fan of doods who talk about how to make music. Kind of a weird shift but it works.

So yeah... thanks, Craig. Keep bein' awesome.

From me too!

I first met Craig more than 25 years ago when he was doing product demo at an AES convention... He has had a fabulous, growing career since then doing everything from magazine editoring through product testing and reviews...

Always great info, knowledge, and delivered with excellent humanity!

I too made some of the many projects Craig wrote about in Electronic Musician mag back in the early 90s.  I looked forward each issue to seeing what cool gadget he had designed.  Up until just a couple of years ago...I had two large cardboard boxes FULL of Electronic Musician and Mix magazines.  I finally decided they were taking up too much room and tossed them out.  It was bittersweet for sure :) .

I used to read Craig's articles in Guitar Player back in the seventies, and built a couple of his projects as well.  Him creating Cakewalk content and being on the forum is a special treat, indeed!

C'mon Craig.. We all know you're being bashful.. Come on in and feel the love!

Quick story. I just brought my Stratocaster to get set up by Jim Mouradian Guitar over in Winchester MA and he was asking me all sorts of questions about three little switches I had added.  These were in fact rewire modifications I had performed based on articles Craig had written in Guitar Player back in the 70s. Series / parallel and phase / out of phase. I also added a passive midrange control from his Electronic Projects for Musicians.  Thanks Craig for years of hands on knowledge you gave me over the decades!

I must join in the chorus singing his praises. :)  I too read many articles in EM, though I did not follow through on the projects, I did read and absorb. Also Have and still refer to his Digital Delay Handbook.

Last week in a session doing a quick guitar part for someone, I grabbed one of the new amps and it felt and sounded great as is....
